Asheville Children’s Theatre

The Creative Arts Preschool
The Creative Arts Preschool program offers hands-on learning so that children can discover the wonderful world around them. Research studies show that exposing children to the Performing Arts helps improve critical thinking and develop self-confidence. Children naturally respond to music, dance, art and drama. At the Asheville Performing Arts Academy, our curriculum incorporates all of this, while allowing each child to excel in other areas as well, such as math, science and language. The Creative Arts Preschool at the APAA Academy recognizes and encourages each child’s uniqueness by exposing him or her to the creative and performing arts. We believe that learning is a creative process that should always be fun. Each student is encouraged to discover the joy of learning through exciting daily themes that tap into his or her creativity and self-expression. In the Creative Arts Preschool at the Asheville Performing Arts Academy, we promote self-esteem and respect for others while being sensitive to children’s varying development and learning styles. By providing enrichment opportunities for our students to grow, we help each child to gain self-control and to achieve a positive self-image in a happy, safe, and stimulating environment.
