Creative Arts Preschool
The Creative Arts Preschool program offers hands-on learning so that children can discover the wonderful world around them. Research studies show that exposing children to the Performing Arts helps improve critical thinking and develop self-confidence. Children naturally respond to music, dance, art and drama. At the Asheville Arts Center, our curriculum incorporates all of this, while allowing each child to excel in other areas as well, such as math, science and language.
Dance
The Asheville Arts Center is a place for you to discover the diversity of the various dance forms from Irish to Hip Hop, Clogging, Ballet, Jazz and much more! Whether you are 3 or 103, you will receive instruction from professionals in their field. You will be part of a community of dancers who benefit from age-appropriate instruction, and develop self-esteem and confidence through the art of dance discovery. View Photo Gallery
Drama
The Asheville Arts Center offers you a way to express your creativity in classes and on stage! You will have the opportunity to participate in acting classes and musical theater while developing stage presence and confidence that will last a lifetime. Join the Band! Rock U - Asheville's School of Rock
JOIN THE BAND!
The same high quality instruction found in private lessons is now brought to you in group instruction.
This program takes you from playing along with the CD in your bedroom or garage to playing with a real live band. You'll learn what it takes to successfully play with other musicians just like you and have a rockin' good time. This program includes theory lessons, rock ensemble classes, private lessons, performances and recording sessions. There are also many seminars throughout the year on other various topics such as song writing, stage lighting, recording & stage presence.
Kindermusik
Kindermusik® is a music and movement program for newborns up to age 7. Kindermusik® is a great opportunity to be a part of a child centered and age appropriate program that creates musical children by letting them explore all the possibilities that surround them.
Kindermusik® is the emerging community of families and teachers passionately committed to bringing music to children's lives. Guided by a proven methodology combining music and childhood development research, Kindermusik® sparks magical, memorable learning for each and every child.
Kindermusik is also offered in South Asheville.

The Asheville Arts Center is committed to offer you high-quality instruction on a variety of instruments that are student centered with a focus on individual learning styles. Summer Camps
Asheville Arts Center nurtures budding performers year-round, and that means two full months -- June 14 to Aug. 13 -- of high-wattage summer programs. There is everything from the coveted "Rock Band Camp" for teens to a "Tinkerbell's Fairyland" camp for the preschool set. The "Asheville Idol" series is back this year and sure to be another hit; also for 2010 are full stage productions of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, JR. for ages 8 and up and ALADDIN KIDS! for ages 4 to 7. A varied menu of musical theater, including Best of Broadway Camp and Triple Threat Camp, is available. Make sure you register today before all spaces are filled!
