Middle School Academy

Students are involved in classes 3 days per week, as well as participate in two shows and attend the Junior Theatre Festival.
Middle School Academy students begin with Commedia dellarte and neutral mask work, furthering the discipline of the body, while allowing the actor freedom to create. They move into collegiate-level Stanislavski work, and Meisner work with intense scene-study and monologue work. In dance, students are challenged to grasp several different dance styles from the Broadway canon. Voice classes become more advanced, pushing students to challenge themselves vocally, and learn about musical parts and blending.
